Occupying the front of the warehouse-like production area, it’s a wonderfully open space, with amazing high ceilings and a great view of the roasters through a window at the back. You can buy coffee from any of CoRo’s roasters, while there’s a choice of coffee to drink, including a blend, single-origin and decaf on espresso, two options on batch brew filter, another on pour-over plus there’s cold brew.

For the past two years, Bay Area CoRoasters (CoRo) in Berkeley, California, has been helping ignite coffee brands in the Bay Area by providing a shared production roasting space with knowledgeable staff alongside a dazzling range of commercial roasting equipment.
Now CoRo is bringing those brands even further from production and into the fore with the opening of its CoRo Coffee Room, a full-fledged retail cafe featuring a well-appointed bar and a rotating menu of roasts from CoRo member companies.

The ever-rotating quartet of brands served there is drawn from dozens of member-roasters who craft their product on the premises. Bay Area CoRoasters — as it is formally known — houses four production roasters, a cupping room, and two processing spaces in which coffee can be weighed, bagged, and sealed. Its cafe opened in July.
